A couple years ago, you couldn’t pay me to drink something green. I had tried it once, and due to under-blending I ended up with little pieces of leaf stuck in my teeth. It wasn’t pretty, and it kind of put me off the whole green drink train.
Then I tried to get into juicing, which I found grossed me out less, but was a little too time-intensive and expensive (so much wasted vegetable fiber!) to stick as a routine.
Welcome, friends, to my new favorite soup. Really truly.
I may be a little biased, as I adore most tomato basil soups, but this soup is special because it’s swirled with brie, and topped with croutons made out of my most favorite bread from our co-op. It’s whole wheat, seeded, and uhhhmmm rather expensive, but worth every penny.
I made this creamy quinoa a few weeks ago, and I can’t believe I waited so long to share it with you. I also can’t believe I’m sharing it with you when I have zero of the ingredients in my house to fulfill my craving for it…or really no ingredients at all to make anything except cookies, if we’re being honest.
Just popping in on this Thursday for a reminder about the fun giveaway I have going on this week – you can enter to win 1) a KitchenAid 9-Cup Food Processor (my favorite kitchen gadget), and 2) a copy of The High-Protein Vegetarian Cookbook! The giveaway is in honor of the official release of my book, which is now on sale at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Powells, Indiebound, and Books-a-Million!
You have until 11:59 Friday evening to enter by using the widget below. Good Luck!
Hi hello. Happy Monday. I’m kind of sad it’s Monday, and I think you probably are too, so I have a fun post today to make up for it.
The past week was just so exciting, with the official release of The High-Protein Vegetarian Cookbook on the 5th, my 29th (eep) birthday on the 7th, and a book release/birthday party on Saturday with all my closest friends and family. It was all go! go! go! with the fun things and now it’s all whomp whomp with the back-to-normal reality things.
Fortunately I can break through the mundane with carrot cake for BREAKFAST, and a couple exciting things to giveaway!
